Studio Paramount poinformowało, że w 12 czerwca 2018 roku w Stanach Zjednoczonych do sprzedaży trafi wydanie 4K UHD z filmem Forrest Gump. Poznaliśmy specyfikację płyt i listę materiałów dodatkowych.
Na płycie UHD znajdziemy dźwięk w formacie Dolby Atmos oraz obraz w systemie HDR. Według ujawnionej specyfikacji, w amerykańskim wydaniu zabraknie polskiej wersji językowej.
