W pierwszych tygodniach 2022 roku, oprócz albumu „The Berlin Concert”, do sprzedaży w polskich sklepach trafił jeszcze inny rarytas sygnowany nazwiskiem Johna Williamsa. „Complete Philips Recordings” to 21-płytowy zestaw, który ukazał się nakładem wytwórni fonograficznych Decca Classics i Universal Music Polska. Poniżej szczegóły wydawnictwa.

Kariera dyrygencka Johna Williamsa pozostaje nieco w cieniu jego filmowych dokonań. Tymczasem stając na czele The Boston Pops Orchestra, pięciokrotny laureat Oscara wprowadził muzykę filmową na sale koncertowe, co znacznie podniosło jej wartość artystyczną oraz przyniosło jej wielkie uznanie środowiska klasycznego. Kompozytor stworzył nowe aranżacje orkiestrowe popularnych klasyków i rozszerzył podstawowy repertuar orkiestry, łącząc w ten sposób różne „podgatunki”. To niesamowite dziedzictwo zostało uhonorowane przez Decca Classics w nowej, limitowanej edycji kolekcjonerskiej, która uświetni dziewięćdziesiąte urodziny artysty przypadające w 2022 roku.
